'Fro Boy
The transformation of a lifetime

Is it really him?

Imagine if you will, your worst nightmare:  You're a lily-white Caucasian, and you wake up one morning to discover that you and Richard Prior have the same 'do.  You, the white guy, are looking today very much like a blonde Q-Tip and there isn't a blessed thing you can do about it.  (Okay, imagine your girlfriend won't stick around if you shave your head.... although I'd lay odds she's nuts if she prefers this to that.)  You go to the beach and black women laugh at you, white women avoid you, and Hollywood producers send low level photography interns to grab novelty shots of you.  Is your life over?

Not if you're Scott Tarbet, Quicksilver Websites' wily webmaster.  For Tarbet, a kinky Velcro perm is a relative boon!   Says Tarbet, "Now I look and feel just the way I should when I pull out those old Star Trek reruns, switch on the Pong set, or even practice my audition for the next Brady Bunch Movie."
Scott TarbetTarbet:   "The best thing about being your own boss is that you can dress or  look any way you want!"

Resplendent in his faded bell bottom jeans and leather "Fonz" jacket, Tarbet Fro Boy! By Penny Freemansits astride his moped and grins at the camera.   "There is just no better way to pick up women who are still wearing their old high school letter sweaters after 20 years.  And nothing beats this," he says, ruffling his frizzy blonde locks "as a conversation starter.  Who knows?   With the return of platform shoes, wide leg pants, and Cher-style belly button rings, the white guy's 'Fro could make a comeback all its own.  I, for one, am going to get the jump on that trend."

Asked if his avante garde hairstyle has lost him any status professionally, Tarbet is quick to reply, "The best thing about being self-employed is that you can dress or look any way you want."  Tarbet's family was unavailable for comment.  Reasons given for this were that his 2 teenage sons have disowned him, his sisters and brothers have been laughing uncontrollably for about 2 weeks, and his parents are currently in mourning.
